Before you can even start to train your dog, it needs to RESPECT YOU! Your dog needs to respect you as the "Top Dog". Dogs need to feel secure to be truly happy. That means they need to feel secure that you will be the leader and that they can count on you to take charge.

In my class, I will teach you the duties of a leader (that would be you!) and specific things that show your dog who is the leader (that would be you, again!). Being an effective pack leader means being authoritive without being harsh; gentle and kind without being over-permissive.

You will not only learn basic obedience. You will learn problem solving techniques, such as chewing, nipping, jumping, housebreaking, etc. I also discuss and provide behavior modification techniques, such as food and object guarding, fearfulness, negative associations to other dogs and people, etc. I teach you how to use your body language, vocal tones and positive attitude to influence your dog's behavior and communication skills.
